May 6th 2024: Maitland Woods Pool Opens May 17th

Neighbors, I am pleased to announce that the pool is scheduled to open on Friday May 17th for the 2024 season! I will send a followup email to confirm the pool is open on the 17th.  Please review the information below ahead of the pool opening and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Residents are allowed to reserve the clubhouse for events (no charge), you may do so by reviewing the available dates and filling out the form on maitlandwoods.com. Your reservation does not grant you exclusive access to the clubhouse and while your event guests may use the pool - the pool area can not be reserved.  Health code requires that access be granted to the restrooms for guests of the pool which are located inside the clubhouse.

We have 2 grills provided for use by clubhouse and pool guests; please make sure you turn off the gas and completely clean them after your grilling session. Note that each grill has a timer on the post that must be used to turn on the gas in addition to turning on the tank.  The grills look the same but light differently, one has an igniter button and the other sparks as the knob is turned. Please don't take the provided grill utensils but do clean them if you use them. 

When using the restrooms you must dry off completely before entering the clubhouse as not doing so creates a serious slip hazard on the inside floors; please make sure your children,  guests and baby sitters are informed.  In the event someone does enter the clubhouse wet you are responsible for drying the floors completely.  I will be monitoring compliance cloesly this year and will reach out directly if people associated with your home cause a wet sutiation inside.

We seem to have issues every year with trash at the pool/clubhouse. Please help us out and keep in mind the following rules and avoide being charged a cleaning fee:

• Take full trash bags to the dumpster, don't allow the cans to overflow

• New trash bags are located in the bi-fold closet near the kitchen

• Do not throw trash in a can that has no bag

• If you throw food away in the can take it to the dumpster when you leave. Otherwise we could have a pest problem

• If you need to dispose of a dirty diaper either take it with you for disposal or take the bag to the dumpster when you leave

• Email me if you notice we are running low or are out of trash bags, please

The clubhouse is cleaned weekly during pool season but in the event you find someone has left the clubhouse dirty please let us know by emailing info@maitlandwoods.com.  Note that the cleanings do not include cleaning out the refrigerator so please do not leave food behind; if you do find outdated food that someone has left please help us out and discard it. 

In the past we have had issues with people smoking/vaping in the fenced pool area and pets inside the pool area and clubhouse.  This is not permitted at anytime!  There is no area in the pool area where smoking/vaping is permitted even if you are the only person present.  Persons violating this rule will be fined $250 by the HOA and lose access to the pool/clubhouse; residents are responsible (including fines) for the actions of their guests.  This area is monitored by video surveillance; please abide by the rules.

• Access to the Clubhouse and Pool is for homeowners who are current on their HOA dues. You are granted access with a key fob. If you find your key fob is not working, please email the clubhouse chairman at info@maitlandwoods.com or the management company to report the problem.

• WARNING: There is no lifeguard on duty

• Pool hours are: Sunday through Saturday: 7:00 am to 10:00 pm

• Facilities are for use by MW residents and their invited guests only

• Guests must be accompanied by a resident

• Pool gates must be kept closed and locked at all times.Do not prop them open

• Glass is prohibited in the pool areas

• Pets are not allowed in the pool or clubhouse at any time

• Smoking is prohibited in the fenced pool area and clubhouse

Note: You must be current on your dues to access the Pool/Clubhouse; members who are delinquent have had their fobs disabled until the account is brought current.
