Neighbors,
I'm happy to announce that the pool is now open for the 2026 season! Please take a moment to review the information below, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Clubhouse Reservations
Residents may reserve the clubhouse for events at no charge by checking available dates and submitting the form at maitlandwoods.com. Please note that a reservation does not grant exclusive access to the clubhouse, and while your event guests are welcome to use the pool, the pool area itself cannot be reserved. Health code requires that pool guests have access to the restrooms located inside the clubhouse.
Grills
Two grills are available for use by clubhouse and pool guests. After each use, please turn off the gas and clean the grill thoroughly. Each grill has a timer on the post that must be activated to turn on the gas — note that while both grills look similar, they light differently: one has an igniter button, and the other sparks as the knob is turned. Please leave the provided utensils for others to use, but do clean them after you're done.
Wet Floors / Restrooms
Please dry off completely before entering the clubhouse — wet floors create a serious slip hazard. Make sure your children, guests, and babysitters are aware of this rule. If someone does enter wet, you are responsible for drying the floors completely. Compliance will be monitored closely this year, and I will follow up directly with any household where this becomes an issue.
Trash
We've had ongoing issues with trash at the pool and clubhouse; I am sounding like a broken record here... Please do your part to keep things clean and avoid a cleaning fee:
Take full trash bags to the dumpster — do not let cans overflow
Replacement bags are in the bi-fold closet near the kitchen
Do not place trash in a can that has no bag
If you dispose of food, take the bag to the dumpster when you leave to prevent pests
Dirty diapers should either go with you or be taken directly to the dumpster
Please email me if we're running low on trash bags
The clubhouse is cleaned weekly during pool season. If you find it has been left in poor condition, please let us know at info@maitlandwoods.com. Note that weekly cleanings do not include the refrigerator — please don't leave food behind. If you find outdated food someone has left, feel free to discard it.
Smoking / Vaping & Pets
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere within the fenced pool area — at all times, regardless of whether others are present. Pets are also not permitted in the pool area or clubhouse at any time. Violations will result in a $250 fine and loss of pool/clubhouse access. Residents are responsible for the behavior of their guests. The area is monitored by video surveillance.
Rules & Reminders
The full Rules and Regulations are available at maitlandwoods.com under Governing Documents. Key reminders:
Access is for homeowners current on HOA dues; your key fob grants entry — if it's not working, email info@maitlandwoods.com or contact the management company.
WARNING: There is no lifeguard on duty
Pool hours: Sunday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM
Facilities are for MW residents and their invited guests only
Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times
Pool gates must remain closed and locked — do not prop them open
Glass is prohibited in the pool area
Members delinquent on dues will have fob access disabled until the account is brought current; we have several delinquents at the moment and those FOBs are disabled
I look forward to seeing everyone out at the pool this summer!
Thanks, and have a great season!
